4 DAYS ITINERARY : SAFARI TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Day 01:Kampala To Murchison Falls

Drive to Murchison Falls NPwith a stopover in Nakitoma. Ferry crossing(Full board)

Briefing on your safari. Depart Kampala or Entebbe in the morning. Visit the Rhino sanctuary later making a stopover in Masindi for Lunch. The sanctuary offers a secure place where rhino populations can be expanded by breeding, protected from human and non-human predators andgradually re-introduced into Uganda’s national parks. While at the same time, allowing the public to enjoy these majestic animals, as the project moves forward. Brief game viewing in the evening.

Distance & time (approx.): 393km (4-5hrs) from Kampala

Overnight: Fort Murchison Lodge

Activity: Rhino tracking

Animals: White Rhinoceros & a few mammals, reptiles and birds

Day 02: Game Drive And Boat Cruise -Hike To The Top Of The Falls

Spend the day in the park and go to game viewing expeditions north of the Nile. Later take a launch boat cruise from Paraa to the bottom of the mighty falls.
Game viewing along the rivers is stunning, with some of the largest crocodiles left in Africa, hippos, elephants and birds, including the rare shoebellstork,basking on the banks of the Nile. Hike to the top of the dramatic Murchison falls, crashing through a narrow gorge.

- Activity: Game drive, Boat ride and hike top of the Falls
- Animals: Lions, spotted hyenas, leopards, elephants, Giraffes, oribis, Kobs, waterbucks, Hartebeests, buffaloes, baboons, antelopes, hippopotamuses, crocodiles, some reptiles and a variety of birds

Day 03: Delta Circuit And Evening Game Drive

In the morning you visit the delta circuit, north of the river with its giraffe, lion, and Ugandan kob. As you go with the boat through this section you will have the opportunity to come across the famous shoe bell stork that is the cause for many on safari. During the heat of the day relax at your lodge with a cup of iced tea or water. Evening game drive will be on the books with the guide waiting in the wings

- Activity: Game drive & Boat cruise
- Animals: Lions, spotted hyenas, leopards, elephants, Giraffes, oribis, Kobs, waterbucks, Hartebeests, buffaloes, baboons, antelopes, hippopotamuses, crocodiles, some reptiles and a variety of birds

Day 04: Trek In Kaniyo Pabidi Forest Walk- Drive To Kampala

Distance & time (approx.): 393 km (8hrs) to Entebbe (4-5 hour)

Overnight: Nil

Activity: guided forest walk

Animals: chimpanzees, some primates, spotted hyenas, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, baboons, antelopes, some reptiles and a variety of birds

An early start. Leave for Pabidi in Budongo forest for a guided nature walk to track chimpanzees of this ever endearing forest just next to Murchison falls national park that you will be leaving behind. Also, recorded in Budongo forest are about 360 bird species,290 butterflies,130 moths,465 trees and 24 mammals of which 9 are primates. Chimpanzee tracking is now popular and presents an opportunity to see the chimps in less crowded area of Uganda other than Kibale forest national park.

Locating the Chimps is earlier between May and August as fruit is more readily available. After you walk, we will return to Kampala arriving later in the evening time for our outbound flight
